I’m a Georgia based therapist who is also licensed in Tennessee. I have lived experience that pairs well with (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) DBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Mindfulness.
About Aliyah Jewell, M.S.
Life is messy and full of challenges, but it can also hold beauty, connection, and growth.
II’m a Georgia based therapist who takes a relational, client-centered approach to therapy. My work is informed by attachment theory and human development, integrating Play Therapy based techniques, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and somatic approaches to support emotional regulation, insight, and connection.
Change isn’t easy
(even when it’s “good”).
Even though therapy can bring relief, it is also work. Sometimes change is really difficult. We will walk with you through the change.
You're here because life is hard, dark and stormy.
At True North Counseling, our strength is walking with you. There is always light after the dark. In therapy, we will work with you to evaluate your history, your needs, and with you, create a plan to walk with you from the darkness into the light. we will communicate with you and build a relationship that will help you feel safe while you do the hard work of therapy.
How we work:
We hold a strong belief that every person has value. We use therapies that support and promote your choice.
We work with you to identify your values and then to make sure that your behavior matches your values. If you know your values, but you feel like you are treading water, We will support you in learning how to make your behavior match your values.
